iSeeTV History

Media
Logic launched their interactive TV solution, iSeeTV, in 2001. This
innovative break through in interactive communications was a world first
and created a lot of excitement in the iTV marketplace.
The iSeeTV solution
worked by video enabling an organisation’s call centre so that a unique
video signal could be delivered to a customers digital cable TV.
This
narrowcast connection allowed customers at home to see the organisation’s
call centre representative live on their TV whilst conversing with
them over the phone, the representative could then present personalised
information to the customer, providing opportunities to cross sell
and up sell relevant goods and services.
A pilot iSeeTV service began operation in August 2001 to 65,000 digital Telewest subscribers in the Birmingham (UK) area. iSeeTV attracted some of the UK’s most well known brands to the pilot, including Iceland Foods, one of the top 5 UK food retailers, Debenhams, the biggest department store chain in the UK, AMP Pearl, the global financial services company, and the NHS Direct.
To meet the opportunities afforded by the rapid growth of broadband Internet connections the iSeeTV platform has now been expanded to incorporate IP delivery to PC as well as TV. In order to reflect this broadening of iSeeTV’s capabilities the overall platform became renamed as iSeeCommunications. iSeeCommunications delivers the same one-to-one audio and video communications across a number of delivery channels including digital cable, DSL, VPNs, WiFi, broadband and narrowband Internet; and very soon to 3G mobile phones.
The solutions capabilities have grown substantially and Media Logic can now provide your company with a live, fully interactive communications solution that will save your organisation money whilst delivering a much-needed personalised service to your customers, partners, suppliers or students regardless of their location.
